Loretto Chapel is one of the famous chapels in US. It is in New Mexico state and the address is 207 Old Santa Fe Trl Santa Fe, NM 87501 (13 hours car drive from our home)
This chapel has a mysterious or miracle circular staircase. It was constructer is 1878. When the French carpenter Francois-Jean "Frenchy" Rochas died in the middle of the chapel construction, there was no staircase between the church and choir area. So the sisters of Loretto chapel said a Novena prayer to Saint Joseph for help.
- A strange man came after the novena to help. After 3 months, he constructed the staircase and he left immediately. No one knows, who he was, but everyone is claiming as Saint Joseph.
- The staircase is not constructed with a metal or screws. Everything is constructed with wood.
- It has two 360 degree staircase without a central beam and was structurally sound and still stands today
