Saint of the day - Wednesday, March 14, 2012 - St. Maximilian (d. 295)

St. Maximilian is a 21 year young man dedicated his life to God. During his period all men were forced to server in military. When he was forced to serve for Roman army, he refused. His response was
"I will never serve. You can cut off my head, but I will not be a soldier of this world, for I am a soldier of Christ. My army is the army of God, and I cannot fight for this world. I tell you I am a Christian."
"I shall not die. If I go from this earth, my soul will live with Christ my Lord."
He was killed by the Roman Soldiers at his 21st age.
Note: He is not Maximilian Kolbe, who offers his life for another person in Nixies death camp.
